A.M. NEWS FRIDAY 6-14-13

Delaware County Deputies investigated a one-car personal injury auto accident in the Town of Hamden on County Hwy 2.  94-year-old Philip Brancato of Garfield New Jersey lost control of his vehicle, struck the guardrail and slid across a lawn.  He was transported to O’Connor Hospital for an evaluation; Police discovered that Brancato had been missing from Garfield for several hours prior to the accident.

The Otsego County Sheriffs department arrested 28-year-old Timur Demirel for making a terrorist threat & possession a weapon while on probation.  Deputies accuse Demirel of threatening to blow up the Otsego County Office Building, after he told fellow inmates of his plans; he was arraigned and taken back to county jail without bail.

Delaware County Deputies arrested 39-year-old Keith Audette of Hamden for Criminal Obstruction of Breathing or Blood Circulation, Unlawful Imprisonment and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.  The arrest stems from an alleged domestic incident in Hamden, Audette was arraigned in the Town of Delhi Court and was released on his own recognizance, he will appear in Town of Hamden Court on July 8th.

The annual Unadilla Flag Day parade will be held tonight.  Unadilla Fire department Captain Mike Gray explains:

The Unadilla Flag day parade is one of the first & oldest Flag Day parades in the entire country, those who want to be in the parade should arrive at the Unadilla elementary school by 6:00 PM tonight.
