The trial for 43 year old Christopher Davis will begin in Broome County Court today. Davis was charged with 1st degree murder, 2 counts of 2nd degree murder & 1st degree robbery, for the murder of 50 year old Patricia LaCaprara during a robbery in July 2013, who was found dead from traumatic head injuries. LaCaprara owned the home and Davis was her tenant.

State Police are investigating last Wednesday’s 2 vehicle accident that killed 74 year old Ralph Cuozzo of Sidney Center. State Police stated that Cuozzo was driving a rollback flatbed truck for his company, RC Sales & Service; he collided with a Bellevue Builders flatbed operated by 21 year old Codey Lambrecht of Sidney Center, at West Main & Wood Road in the town of Sidney Wednesday morning. Cuozzo was declared dead at the scene; Lambrecht suffered a head injury and was taken to Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City. The State police accident reconstruction team is continuing the investigation. Funeral services for Cuozzo will be held this morning at Sacred Heart Church in Sidney at 11:00 AM a funeral procession will follow including Cuozzo’s collection of antique cars.
