A.M. NEWS MONDAY 11-24-14

State Police has activated the New York State AMBER Alert and is investigating a child abduction in Greenport, at about 10:47 PM Sunday. The VEHICLE has been identified as a Blue Chrysler Minivan with Connecticutt a license plate, last seen traveling South, possibly heading for New Jersey. The Suspect , 21 year old Steven Ristick, came from NJ and entered house unannounced and forcibly took the 3 month old baby boy & is also accused of assaulting the child’s grandfather. Anyone with any information on this abduction is asked to call the State Police at (866)N Y S-AMBER.

A 2nd meeting for “Reunite Bainbridge” has been scheduled for tonight, Bainbridge Chamber President John Payne talked about some of the ideas that have been forwarded already:

Firefighters form Bainbridge, Sidney Coventry & Afton Fire responded to a fire Saturday evening at 148 East Keech Road in Bainbridge for a trailer fire. The trailer was destroyed in the blaze; the Carey-Scott family lost all of their belongings, fundraising efforts through go fund me .com is underway.
