Chenango County Sheriff’s Office arrested Eugene Legree, who was wanted on an active bench warrant.  Legree was arrested after he was located in the City of Oneonta by the Oneonta Police Department; he was wanted on a warrant from the Town of Guilford Court for failure to pay fine on a previous 3rd degree aggravated unlicensed operation charge.  Legree was arraigned & was remanded to the Chenango County Jail on $920 cash bail, pending future court action.

The Chenango county sheriffs department arrested Robert Mowers of Lincklaen for Menacing, Criminal Mischief, Reckless Endangerment and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.  Deputies responded to a domestic dispute report, where Mowers had allegedly shot at the victim’s vehicle with a BB gun.  Mowers was arraigned in the Town of Otselic Court and released on his own recognizance, he’ll appear in the Town of Otselic Court at a later date.

Oneonta officials announced that starting today at 1:00 pm and continuing between the hours of 11:00 am and 5:00 pm for at least the next 12 weeks, oversized load truck traffic will cause traffic delays on Lettis Highway to Maple Street, Center Street to East Street, East to Bugbee and Bugbee to Blodgett.  School bus traffic will not be affected. Those with questions can call the City of Oneonta Police Department at 432 1111.
