The national weather service investigators will be out again today looking to confirm more tornadic activity from yesterday’s storms.  One possible tornado appeared in Watkins glen, funnel clouds were reported in Binghamton, West Windsor, Windsor and Susquehanna County in Pennsylvania.

State Police arrested 19-year-old Damian Schlabsz of Unadilla for unlawful imprisonment & 2nd degree menacing, for allegedly attacking a woman with a knife near Bainbridge July 6th.  Schlabsz was taken to the Chenango County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.

Governor Cuomo will seek legislation to let the state recoup millions in school tax breaks paid to high-income New Yorkers who did not qualify to receive them. The announcement came after an investigation found an estimated $28 million in school property-tax subsidies, since 2011, were granted to households ineligible to receive them because they earned more than $500,000 a year.

Motorists are advised that the Prospect Street westbound lane will be closed at the Prospect Connector Road.  Crews will be performing excavation and embankment work the Prospect Connector Road between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. today & tomorrow.  Flag personnel will guide alternating one-way traffic through the work zone. This work is expected to be completed by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15, weather permitting.

Town of Unadilla crews announced that Butternut Road at the intersection with Leizear Hill Road will be closed today.  Crews will be working on a culvert; the work is expected to be completed this afternoon by 4:00 PM.
