2 people were held without bail Friday night on first-degree kidnapping charges in the abduction of two Amish girls in Saint Lawrence County. 39 year old Stephen Howells and 25 year old Nicole Vaisey were arrested, based on information from 1 of the 2 girls abducted Wednesday. St. Lawrence County Sheriff Kevin Wells said that 7 year old Delila Miller & 12 year old Fannie Miller were in good health, they escaped from the house were they were brought and walked to the nearest home, where a resident took them back to their family.

State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team executed a search warrant at 16 Dumas Hill Road in the Town of Fenton. During the search 8 marihuana plants were seized along with 40 grams of processed marihuana, smoking devices and packaging material. 27 year old Christopher Hartmann of Fenton was arrested for Unlawfully Growing Cannabis, Criminal Possession of Marihuana and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana; he faces court action September 4th in the Town of Fenton court.
