About 200 Sidney village residents in the flood prone regions attended a meeting at the river street fire station last night, to hear from state & local officials about their options.  Sidney economic development director John Redente urges people who did not sign up at last nights meeting to contact him to set up an appointment to discuss their situations:

The Chenango County Sheriffs department arrested 21-year-old Frank Thorne of Guilford for Disorderly Conduct and Harassment.   Thorne is accused of throwing a glass bottle at the responding Deputy; he was arraigned in the Town of Norwich Court and was remanded to the Chenango County Jail on $500 cash bail.

Delaware County Deputies arrested 37 year old Lisa Osborne of Hamden for Criminal possession of stolen property & False written statement.  Osborne is accused of giving a false written statement during an investigation, and for possessing property stolen from a residence in Stamford.  She was issued appearance tickets for Town of Hamden Court for February 10th

Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 24 year old Timothy Nodine of Hobart, for 2nd degree Burglary,  Criminal Possession of Stolen Property and Petty Larceny.  He is accused of breaking into a Village of Stamford residence in December and stealing a television, a Playstation and other property. The investigation also led to the recovery of a rifle stolen during a burglary in South Kortright, a handgun also stolen there was previously recovered during the execution of Search Warrant at the Hector Padilla residence in December.  The investigation is continuing, more arrests are expected.  Nodine was arraigned and was released on recognizance pending future court action.
