The annual Robert W. Harrold BOCES open house will be held this coming Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the campus in Masonville.  BOCES Principal Mike Waters comments:

23-year-old Ashley Carnevale pleaded guilty to 1st degree manslaughter  & 1st degree assault in Broome County Court Wednesday.  Carnevale and her husband shot and killed one person and injured another back in Windsor in 2009 while burglarizing a home in search of drugs. The guilty plea came as part of a plea deal prior to the start of a 2nd trial, Carnevale will be sentenced to concurrent terms of 15 years in prison, and she has waived her right to appeal.

32-year-old Leslie Woodward of Binghamton was arrested on an active Bench Warrant issued by Chenango County Court.

Woodward failed to comply with the conditions of her release for the original charges of 4th degree Grand Larceny, 3rd degree Forgery and Petty Larceny.  Woodward was taken into custody without incident and she was turned over to the custody of Chenango County Correctional Facility, she’ll face action in Chenango County Court shortly.

The Chenango County Sheriff’s office arrested 36-year-old Chad Hanyon of Smyrna for Unlawful Possession of Marihuana.  Hanyon was found to be in possession of Marihuana by deputies, he was released on an appearance ticket for the Town of Smyrna Court on a later date.
