State Police are continuing the investigating 2 recent armed Robberies of convenience stores.  Saturday night an unknown male subject entered the Stamford Country Store wearing a green or black jacket, work type pants with zippers at the bottom, gray gloves and a blue knit hat with eye and mouth holes cut in it.  He displayed a large kitchen type knife and left on foot.   Early Monday morning, a male subject entered the Mirabito Convenience Store on Route 23 in Davenport wearing a black jacket, jeans and a blue knit hat with eye and mouth holes, also displaying a large kitchen type knife and leaving with cash on foot.  Anyone with information is asked to call State Police at Oneonta at 432-3211.

Motorists are advised that State Route 17 eastbound between exit 71 and the Binghamton/Hillcrest exit 4 will encounter periodic rolling slowdowns today between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM.  Crews will be working to relocate overhead signs near exit 4.  Traffic will be impacted for approximately 15 minutes during each rolling slowdown.
