State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit conducted a 72-hour road check at 4 locations along I-86 & State Route 17.  833 inspections were conducted, 1,326 violations discovered and 101 vehicles taken off the road and placed out-of-service for serious safety violations. 45 drivers were taken off the road and placed out of service for severe safety violations including 8 for improper driver’s license or for not having a driver’s license, 28 for hours of service violations and 4 for not being medically qualified.

A groundbreaking ceremony will be held tonight for the new Skateboard Park in Keith Clark Park in Sidney.  The groundbreaking ceremony will begin at 6:30 PM at the site; the skateboard park is expected to be open in the near future.
