State Lawmakers will move into the 2015 session today in Albany. Governor Cuomo & state leaders have postponed the State of the State address to January 21st, following the death of Former Governor Mario Cuomo, whose funeral service was held in New York City yesterday, with Governor Andrew Cuomo delivering the eulogy.

Jury Selection began yesterday in Broome County Court for the trial of Nigel Saunders, who was charged with 2 counts of 2nd degree murder, plus 2nd degree assault, 1st degree burglary and 1st degree robbery. Saunders is accused, along with Julian Talamantez of breaking into the home of Jordan Dordell in Binghamton on November 4th 2013, where they allegedly beat, stabbed and set on fire Dordell & His pregnant Fiancé; she was also sexually assaulted in the attack. Saunders and Talamantez then allegedly stole from the home and set it on fire. Talamantez pleaded guilty for his role in the case last year, he was sentenced to 25 years to life in jail. Jury selection in the Saunders trial continues this morning in Broome County Court.

Endicott native & UFC light heavyweight champion Jon “Bones” Jones has entered a drug rehab facility, after failing a drug test last month. Jones tested positive for a substance, found in cocaine. Jones released a statement where he stated that he has entered into a drug treatment facility.
