The Home Performance with Energy Star Program of New York is holding an open house for area residents and business owners today in Afton.  Spokesperson Solvei Blue explains:

The United Way of Delaware/Otsego Counties will be distributing the final donations made to the Hurricane Irene/Tropical Storm Lee fund at the Delaware County Board of Supervisors meeting at 1:00 pm today, at the Charles Cook County office building in Delhi.  Organizations that will be receiving funding are Watershed Agriculture Council, Sidney Center Fire Dept, Trout Creek Fire Dept, Masonville Fire Dept, Franklin Fire Dept, and Delaware County Department of Social Services.

The State DOT announced that crews would be performing bridgework on Interstate 81 southbound over the Chenango River, between exits 5 and 4 in the City of Binghamton, beginning at 9:00 this morning.  Traffic will be reduced to a single travel lane; the work is anticipated to be completed by 3:00 PM.  Also crews will be removing concrete barrier on State Route 17 westbound between exits 72 and 71 in the City of Binghamton, starting at 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM.

The Sidney Central School District will be holding an Odyssey of the Mind meeting at 7:00 pm tonight in the High School Cafeteria. Anybody interested in being on a team or being a coach, should attend this meeting.
