State Senator Jim Seward announced that he will be hosting the Joint Senate Task Force on Heroin and Opioid Addiction on Monday, April 28th in Oneonta. The forum is 1 of 12 statewide to solicit local input on the rise in use of heroin and other opioids in New York State and develop recommendations for treating and preventing addiction. The public forum will take place from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM on Monday, April 28TH at the Hunt Union Ballroom on the campus of SUNY-Oneonta.
The Otsego County Planning Department will host a training class tonight from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, officials from the Department of State will discuss “How to hold productive and efficient Public Meetings and Hearings”, “Understanding the process of referrals” & “Understanding the Smart Growth concept” and how it relates to community planning efforts. Tonight’s workshop will be held at the Meadows Office Complex, County Highway 33W next to the County Public Safety building in Cooperstown.
