A.M. NEWS WEDNESDAY 4-22-15

The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an ATV accident Tuesday afternoon in Hamden. An 11 year old Hamden boy, was traveling south on Stoddard Hollow Road when he lost control of the vehicle while attempting to make a right hand turn off of the roadway, causing the ATV to overturn in a ditch, pinning the operator. The operator’s 9-year-old brother was a passenger on the ATV; he was not injured and ran to home to call 911. Both were children were wearing helmets at the time of the accident. The ATV operator was airlifted to Albany Medical Center by LifeNet helicopter with head injuries, deputies believe excessive speed was a factor.

The Chenango county health department announced a spring schedule for rabies clinics. The first clinic will be held on Wednesday April 22nd at the Guilford highway garage from 5:30 to 6:30 PM, a complete list is available at co.chenango.ny.us.
