The Chenango County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division arrested a City of Norwich woman Tuesday for Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance & criminal nuisance. 34-year-old Stephanie Manwarren of Norwich is accused of selling a controlled substance from her residence; she was arraigned in the City of Norwich Court and was remanded to the Chenango County Correctional Facility on $5,000 cash bail. Additional arrests are pending.

Officials from Tennessee Gas are holding open house meetings regarding a 2nd pipeline project through the southern tier. A meeting will be held tonight at the Sidney Middle School Gym from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, followed by a meeting Thursday night at the Deposit High School at the same times.

Residents in the Town of Afton are voting today on a proposal to purchase the former IVCI building on county route 39 & turn it into a new town office complex. Voting will be held from 12:00 Noon until 8:00 PM at the Afton Fire Station on Spring street.

State Police & Broome County Emergency crews responded to the report of a tractor-trailer carrying 4,000 gallons of liquid manure that flipped in Lisle Tuesday night. 43-year-old Charles Clute was operating the Tractor Trailer; he drifted onto the soft shoulder, overturned into a ditch & spilled the contents. The investigation is continuing.

The Binghamton Mets and New York Mets announced a four-year extension of their Player Development Contract, securing the B-Mets as New York’s Double-A affiliate through the 2020 season. The B-Mets currently lease runs through 2021 at NYSEG Stadium, team ownership did confirm that the team is up for sale.
