The Chenango County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal house fire Sunday night at 209 Joslyn Road in the Town of Guilford.  The Chenango County Bureau of Fire reported that the fire appeared to be intentionally set, Rick Baker was located inside the residence, where he apparently set his trailer on fire and then shot himself.  Baker  died of smoke inhalation, according to the autopsy.

State Police arrested 63-year-old Alan Welch  of Binghamton  for Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC result of 0.14%. The arrest resulted from a traffic stop on Colesville Road in the Town of Kirkwood,  Welch was processed and issued an Appearance Ticket for Town of Kirkwood Court on July 2nd.

The Chenango County sheriff’s department arrested 35-year-old Stephen Dillenbeck of McDonough  for 2nd degree Harassment and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.  Dillenbeck  was arrested following an investigation of a domestic dispute in the Town of McDonough, where he is alleged to have shoved and threatened to kill one victim in the presence of a child .  Dillenbeck was arraigned in the Town of McDonough Court and remanded to the Chenango County Jail on $500 bail and $1,000 bond, he will  reappear in the Town of McDonough Court at a later date.
