Governor Cuomo officially began his 2nd term as Governor yesterday

Cuomo will deliver his state of the state address on January 7th in Albany.

State Police arrested 29-year-old Amber Constable of Sidney, for 10 counts of forgery. State police said that Constable was charged in connection with a deed, will or contract, she was additionally charged with 2 counts of grand larceny involving a credit card, & 3 counts of petty larceny. Constable faces court action at a later date.

43 year old Christopher Davis was sentenced to life in prison without parole today in Broome County Court, for the death of Patricia LaCaprara in Johnson City. A Jury found Davis guilty of 1st & 2nd degree murder & 1st degree robbery in connection with the death of his neighbior, who was found dead in her home in July 2013.

Police announced this morning that the standoff in Danby in Tompkins County has ended. 36-year-old David Cady had barricaded himself in his home after Tompkins County Sheriff’s deputies tried to serve an arrest warrant Tuesday night. Cady was found dead this morning in his home after the 61-hour standoff with police. A bench warrant had been issued in August after Cady failed to show up for court appointment following a guilty plea to driving while intoxicated. No shots were fired. An autopsy will be performed to find out the manner of Cady’s death. Ithaca police and the Broome County Sheriff’s Department assisted Tompkins county sheriffs department.
