Fresh off of last nights performance of “Rock Of Ages” at the Broome County Arena, Stephen Michael Kane, a 2004 graduate of Chenango forks will host the Devin Spears Scholarship Talent Showcase at the Endicott performing Arts Center Saturday at 8:00 PM, Kane told WCDO News why it is important to him to host this event for the 2nd straight year:

Kane was the first ever recipient of that scholarship, he has been working steadily in various road companies of Broadway musicals for the last several years.

There are a few tickets left for Saturday night’s performance of a special tribute of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.  Foothills Director Huemac Garcia comments:

Garcia said that the show consists of 5 young Broadway veterans, who re-create the music and stories of the great era of The Four Seasons, complimentary chocolates, snacks and champagne are available at the pre show happy hour beginning at 6:00 pm Saturday, the show begins at 8:00 pm

State troopers in Norwich arrested 25 year old Robert Robertson of Coventry  for 3rd degree Assault, 2nd degree Unlawful Imprisonment, 4th degree Criminal Mischief 4th and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. The arrest resulted from a dispute on State Route 206 in Coventry; Robertson was arraigned in the Town of Coventry Court and remanded to the Chenango County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,000 cash bail.

Assemblyman Cliff Crouch is inviting sportsmen, businesses and constituents to join him at the New York 2nd Amendment Day in Albany on February 28, consisting of a legislative day from 9:00 A.M. to 12:45 PM at the LEGISLATIVE OFFICE BUILDING and a rally in the West Capitol Park at the south swan street side, beginning at 12:00 Noon.  The rally follows the recent passing of the New York Safe Act by the legislature following the Sandy Creek Elementary School shooting in neighboring Connecticut.

Delaware County Deputies investigated a 1-car property damage auto accident in the Town of Hamden.  18-year-old Brynna Elliott of Marathon was operating her motor vehicle when she left the snow-covered roadway and struck an earth embankment causing her vehicle roll over.  There were no reported injuries and no traffic summons issued.

Delaware County Deputies arrested 29-year-old Jason Grizzard of Hobart for 4th degree Criminal Mischief and 3 counts of endangering the Welfare of a Child.  Grizzard is alleged to have jumped on the hood of a car and smashing the vehicles windshield.  He was released on an appearance tickets returnable on March 12th at 6:00 PM in the Town of Stamford Court.

A benefit is being held for Donavan Lema of Afton, who lost his mother in a car accident in which he was a passenger, on January 28th.  The event will be held at the Sidney moose lodge on Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00 PM, more information is available at 604-4272 or 829-3917.

The Sidney chamber of commerce is accepting nominations for the 2013 citizen of the years and business of the years.  Nomination forms as well as lists of past award recipients is available at the chamber website at sidneychamber.org or by calling 561-2642.  Nominations are requested by march 14th, the winners will be honored at the chamber’s annual dinner of June 7th.
