Troopers responded to a report of a naked man exposing himself from an apartment on Chestnut Street, Wright is accused of exposing himself in a lewd manner while standing near a window, he was also found to unlawfully possess a handgun inside the apartment. Wright was arraigned in the Town of Oneonta Court and was remanded to the Otsego County Jail on $1,500 cash bail or $3,000 property bond.

State Police arrested 28 year old Jonathan Holt of Brooksville, Maine for Criminal Possession of Marihuana and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance. Troopers conducted a traffic stop of a 2005 Honda CRV, which was observed speeding on I-88 in the Town of Milford. The vehicle was searched after troopers detected the odor of Marijuana, with a passenger, Holt allegedly possessing over one pound of marihuana, plus hashish and hallucinogenic mushrooms. Holt was arraigned in the Town of Milford Court and was remanded to the Otsego County Jail on $2,000 cash bail or $4,000 property bond.

The Chenango Arts Council and Friends of Rogers are teaming up for “Bat Appreciation!” during the 19th annual Pumpkin Fest in Norwich. Beginning at 6:00 tonight, the interactive presentation will take place in the Mariea Brown and Raymond Loft Galleries, where it will be on display through November 3rd. The interactive presentation is offered free of charge, donations are welcome to support future programs by the Chenango Arts Council.

NEWS WEDNESDAY 1-23-13 http://www.wcdoonline.com/localnews/a-m-news-wednesday-1-23-13/ Wed, 23 Jan 2013 22:06:01 +0000 http://www.wcdoonline.com/localnews/?p=464 Continue reading ]]> Delaware County Sheriff’s Investigators arrested 33-year-old Jason Wilsey of Davenport on a Sealed Indictment for 1st degree Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance.  Wilsey was arraigned in Delaware county court, he posted bail, which had been set at $50,000 cash, or $100,000 bond.  The arrest followed a 2-year investigation conducted by both the Delaware and Otsego County Sheriff’s Office, the US DEA & local law enforcement into the source and sale of pharmaceutical Oxycodone powder from Covidien Pharmaceuticals in Hobart, where Jason Wilsey was employed.  His brother Robert Wilsey was arrested last month for his involvement, Dante Major who was sentenced to 55 years to life, as well as fined $260,000, in Otsego County Court for selling the narcotics.

GOVERNOR’S Cuomo will send out members of his cabinet to deliver the state budget MESSAGE today.  Locally, DMV commissioner Barbara Fiala will deliver the message at 10:30 at the Binghamton State Office Building on the 18th Floor, and state Office of General Services Commissioner RoAnn Destito will deliver the state budget message at 12:00 noon in the Craven Lounge at SUNY Oneonta.

Chenango County Sheriff Office arrested 72-year-old John Anderson of Madison County, for driving while intoxicated.  Deputies responded to a complaint of a truck stuck in a ditch in the Town of Pharsalia, Anderson is accused of operating the vehicle in an intoxicated state when he went off the roadway.  Anderson was arraigned, and was Releases in his own recognizance to reappear at a later date.

Chenango county Sheriff’s Office arrested 58-year-old Steven DeSane of McDonough for 2nd degree Harassment in the Town of McDonough.  DeSane is accused of threatening to kill a female victim during a Domestic Dispute; he was arraigned in the Town of McDonough court and released on his own recognizance.
