Governor Andrew Cuomo has a 51-44% favorability rating among likely general election voters, according to the latest Sienna Poll. Cuomo leads Republican Marcus Molinaro by a 56-37%, Among Democrats, Cuomo leads Cynthia Nixon 61-26%. Nixon leads Molinaro by a 46-35% margin.

NYSEG is reporting several outages following last night’s storm. over 1400 were without power in the town of Guilford, about 330 in the town of New Berlin, & about 345 in the town of Butternuts & Unadilla. Crews are working to restore the power as quickly as possible.

The state Department of Health paid $1.28 billion in unnecessary Medicaid managed care premiums over a nearly six-year period for enrollees who already had private insurance, according to an audit by State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli. About $70.6 million of the premiums were paid to MCOs that were related through some form of ownership to the 3rd-party insurer. DiNapoli recommended DOH: Improve monitoring efforts to prevent and recover the premiums; Implement controls to remove those recipients with 3rd-party health insurance; & Review the managed care premiums, and recover unnecessary payments. Delaware County Sheriff Deputy’s arrested 48 year old Jason Lupo of Delhi for 3rd degree Assault, following a domestic dispute. Lupo was arranged in Town of Delhi Court and released to reappear at a later date.

Governor Cuomo has named Nassau County District Attorney Madeline Singas as the special prosecutor to investigate allegations that former Attorney General Eric Schneiderman physically abused 4 women. Schneiderman resigned on Monday following the publishing of an article in “The New Yorker” where the women accused Schneiderman of striking them.
