State Police at Sidney arrested 41-year-old Scott Lanich of Canandaigua for Felony Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated. The arrest resulted from a traffic stop on Interstate 88 in Sidney, Lanich was arraigned before the Town of Sidney Court, remanded to the Delaware County Jail and is scheduled to reappear Tuesday.

State Troopers arrested 26-year-old Anthony Heath of Norwich for Driving While Intoxicated. The arrest resulted from a traffic stop on State Route 23 in Morris; Heath was issued tickets returnable in the Town of Morris Court on January 14th.
Tri-town area residents can place their signature on an item that will be sent to Newtown Connecticut, to the families affected by Friday’s sandy Creek school massacre. Lisa Curtis at the family dollar in Sidney explains:
Curtis said that the “Wall of Prayer” will be sent out after Christmas, it is located at the Family Dollar Store in the Great American plaza in Sidney.
Gary Laing of Oneonta is the new owner of the Oneonta Outlaws Baseball team, & they will return to the New York Collegiate Baseball League. The team will continue to play their games at Damaschke Field in Neawha Park; their season will start up in June.
State Police Oneonta arrested 75-year-old Gary Cook of Oneonta for Disorderly Conduct. The arrest resulted from a complaint of a disturbance at the Price Chopper store in the Town of Oneonta. Cook was issued an Appearance Ticket returnable to the Town of Oneonta Court for Tuesday.
Police in Saratoga Springs arrested 22-year-old Tyler Bellick of Schenectady, who is accused of attempting to steal a limousine being used for a bachelorette party over the weekend. Police said that Bellick was intoxicated when he jumped into a limo at Saratoga Casino and Raceway early Sunday morning and started to drive away with about a dozen women inside the vehicle. Bellick forcibly removed by 1 of the women, he tried to flee on foot and was caught by casino security guards and held for police. Bellick was charged with DWI, and grand larceny, he faces court action at a later date.
