Delaware County Sheriff’s Office arrested 27-year-old Shakeem Enang of the Bronx on a sealed indictment warrant following a grand jury proceeding involving the sale of HEROIN in Stamford. Deputies located Enang in a bathroom inside a residence, where he allegedly attempted to flush HEROIN and COCAINE down a toilet. Enang was charged with 2 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled substance & 1 count of Tampering with physical evidence. Investigators seized 80 wax bags of heroin, 2 grams of Cocaine and $668 cash. Enang was arraigned & was remanded to the Delaware County Jail pending future court action.

Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 36-year-old Paul Somers of Tompkins for Felony Criminal Mischief. Somers is accused of allowing his cattle to enter on a neighbors land & causing damage in excess of $250. Somers was released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Tompkins Court on December 21st.

The Chenango County Historical Society museum will be hosting their Holiday Open House on Sunday, from 12:00 noon until 4:00 p.m. The CCHS Museum’s holiday bazaar will be open. The Sidney Center Improvement Group’s annual Holidays in the Hamlet event will be held Saturday with many activities planned, according to Group Spokesman Mike Sellitti:

Sellitti said that the Group will also have photo gifts available for purchase and in time for Christmas, they also request canned goods donation for the Food Bank.

Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 25 year old Jerry Parkes of Missouri on a Fugitive from Justice Complaint following an anonymous made to Otsego County 911. Parkes allegedly fled Missouri, where he was wanted for Domestic Assault & Felony manufacturing marijuana and synthetic marijuana. Parkes was arraigned and was remanded to the Delaware County Jail without bail pending extradition back to Missouri.

A “Meet and Greet” will be held Saturday at the Dunderberg Gallery at 118 Marion Avenue in Gilbertsville, with Jeff Beals, from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Beals is running for the 19th Congressional district for the Democratic Party nomination in 2018. Beals hopes to face Republican John Faso next November,
