The “Help Tom Help Others” fundraiser will be held at Foothills Performing Arts Center in Oneonta starting at 2:00 PM Saturday, to help Tom Quiter of Mount Upton fulfill his dream of getting a van in order to get out & help others with various disabilities. Tom suffers from Brittle Bone disease & is wheel chair bound, & the Catskill Center for independence, Foothills have teamed up to put on a benefit dinner & show featuring comedians & bands. The 11th Annual OH-Fest, a sponsored by Hartwick College and SUNY Oneonta is Saturday, with a carnival on Main Street from 1;00 to 5:00 PM, featuring games, bands, street performers, inflatable rides, arts and craft vendors, food vendors, and more. At Neahwa Park, starting at 6 p.m., there will be a free rap concert.

Chenango Health Network’s Every Woman Counts in Chenango County Campaign is hosting a Breast Cancer Awareness Craft Fair with over 15 vendors Sunday at the River Club in Afton from 11:00 to 4:00 PM. The Lourdes “Mission in Motion” mobile mammography van will be on site providing mammograms for insured and uninsured women. Appointments are requested at 798-5723.

Tri-Town Theatre will feature their production of The Odd Couple directed by Tri Town Theatre’s founder Jack Deuel. Performances are at the Sidney high school auditorium tonight & Saturday Night at 7:00 PM, and Sunday afternoon at 2:00. Tickets are $8 for students and seniors and $10 for regular admission. The Broome County Sheriff’s department is asking the public to help find a Town of Chenango woman with health issues, who disappeared 2 weeks ago today. 37-year-old Brenda Halpin suffers from Huntington’s disease which is a debilitating disease that affects her ability to walk, she was last seen on April 8th in her home in Chenango Bridge, Anyone with information is urged to call the Broome County Sheriff’s Office at 778-1911.

The city of Oneonta & Otsego Now will host an informational meeting for area business people, regarding Governor Cuomo’s 6th round of consolidated funding applications. The meeting will be held on may 6th from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Otsego Now Offices at 189 Min Street Oneonta on the 5th floor.

Governor Cuomo today invited New Yorkers to sign up to volunteer at their favorite state park or historic site as part of the fifth annual “I Love My Park Day” to be held on May 7, 2016 at 110 parks and historic sites across the state.
