On September 27th, following an investigation into physical threats made against a local law enforcement officer, Deputies arrested 40-year-old William Caputo of Walton for Making a Terroristic Threat. Caputo was arraigned in Village of Delhi Court and sent to the Delaware County Jail on $15000 cash bail or $30000 property bond and is to reappear in Village of Delhi Court on October 4th.

Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 47 year old Lisa Porcello of Syracuse for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Porcello was stopped while traveling on State Highway 17 in the Town of Hancock when she was observed operating a motor vehicle at a high rate of speed. Porcello’s driving privileges had several active suspensions. Porcello was arraigned in the Village of Hancock Court and remanded to the Delaware County Jail, on $500 cash bail.

The city of Oneonta has contracted with an outside firm to replace drainage & water utilities at the intersection of Chestnut Street & West Street, beginning October 3rd through the October 12th, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM daily. 1lane traffic will be maintained, traffic delays can be expected, and more information is available at 432-6465.

Republican Claudia Tenney has 35%, Democrat Kim Myers 30%, & Independent Martin Babinec is at 24%. The Three candidates engaged in a debate earlier today at SUNY Broome, they are vying to replace Outgoing Republican Congressman Richard Hanna.

The City of Binghamton Mayor Richard David presented the city’s highest honor, to 5 men who came to the aid of a woman tramped in a burning vehicle, after a 10 car crash on State Route 17 recently.   Doug Kumpon, Ed Staff, Chris White, Fred Teribury and Albert Fiori all received a key to the City in a ceremony on Wednesday. The actions of the men were recorded by a dashcam in a vehicle involved in the massive pile up, the video went Viral, as Binghamton officials sought the names of those who responded to the fiery vehicle, the unidentified woman has fully recovered from injuries sustained the crash, she has declined to be identified.
