Voting continues today & this evening, as people decide on the Presidential campaign, one seat in the US Senate from New York, 2 local seats in the US House of Representatives, plus all of the seat in the State Senate & State Assembly. Several towns also have seats to fill. Polls are open until 9:00 tonight.

Delaware county Public Health, SUNY Delhi, & Fox 7 O’Connor hospitals have teamed up for a sexually transmitted disease prevention program at SUNY Delhi thursday afternoon. Nicole Blanchard of Delaware County Public Health explains:

Several area fire departments responded to a barn fire at 643 Halbert Hill Road in Gilbertsville late Monday afternoon. The barn reportedly did NOT house any livestock, and was used to house equipment. Fire fighters from Gilbertsville, south new berlin, Morris, & mount Upton also responded, no injuries were reported.

Attorney General Eric Schneiderman reminded voters that his office has created a Hotline to help troubleshoot and resolve a range of issues and barriers encountered by voters at the polls for the General Election today, November 8. The Attorney General urges voters experiencing problems or issues at the polls to call the office’s hotline at 800-771-7755 or email civil.rights@ag.ny.gov, through 9:00 PM tonight.

Delaware County Public Health announced that a gray fox tested positive for rabies from the town of Andes. There were no humans or animals exposed to the rabid fox. Those who spot suspicious acting animals, should report them to Delaware County Public Health Services at 832-5200. More information about rabies is available at delawarecountypublichealth.com
