Governor Cuomo reminds New Yorkers that they must register to vote by March 25th in order to cast ballots in the upcoming presidential primaries on April 19. New Yorkers looking to register to vote, or to change their enrollment information, can do so by using the state’s online voter registration service on the State DMV website.

Oneonta Police have charged a Hartwick College student with Assault. 20-year-old Nabill Maiyaki of Mohegan Lake is accused of stabbing an unidentified male victim during an altercation on Elm Street at about 1:00 AM Saturday, he has been charged with 2nd-degree assault & criminal possession of a weapon. The injured male was stabbed in a leg and in the abdomen, and was taken to Fox Hospital with non- life threatening injuries Maiyaki was held being held on bail pending court action

State lawmakers are expecting to get an update on the status of the state budget this week, after an agreement was reached on available revenue. Local Assemblyman Cliff Crouch explains:

Crouch said that he expects Conference Committee assignments to be announced by the end of the week, the state budget plan is due April 1st.

Former Binghamton Triplets & New York Yankee Pitcher & long time official scorer for the Binghamton Mets, Steve Kraly died Monday following a lengthy bout with cancer. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 3:30-7:30 PM; the funeral service will take place on Friday morning at 9:30 AM, both at St. James Roman Catholic Church. Kraly was 86.

The Bainbridge Guilford school district Board of education announced that they have chosen current Cherry Valley-Springfield superintendent Tim Ryan of Guilford as their new superintendent. Ryan will replace Don Wheeler starting July 1st.

The Oneonta City Environmental Board will hold their next meeting this evening. The meeting will begin at 7:00 PM at the Common Council Chambers at City Hall.

Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 20 year old year Dominic Clemente of Northport, on 1 count of criminal possession of marijuana, Deputies accuse Clemente of possessing more than 25 grams of marijuana, he was additionally charged with speeding, for driving at 82 miles per hour in a 55 miles per hour zone. Clemente was released on appearance tickets returnable to Hancock Town Court at a later date.

Governor Cuomo announced that 18 new businesses will join START-UP NY, relocating or expanding their operations across the state in tax-free zones associated with public colleges and universities. These 18 businesses have committed to create at least 135 new jobs and invest nearly $10 million over the next five years. 8 new jobs will come through SUNY Binghamton by ChromaNanoTech & Binghamton Surgical Instruments. 7 new jobs will come through SUNY Morrisville through Good Nature Brewing, which is an existing microbrewery and tap room currently operating in Hamilton,
