The Delaware County Relay For life event held last weekend\nat the fairgrounds in Walton raised almost $42,000 for the American Cancer\nSociety.  The Tri Town Relay For Life\nwill be held on June 7th at General Clinton Park in Bainbridge, starting at\n6:00 PM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

State Police arrested 26 year old Alexander Donenko of Lisle\nfor Criminal Mischief, Criminal Trespass, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation and\nUnlawful Possession of Marijuana.   A\ntrooper was dispatched to the Broome County Fairgrounds in Whitney Point for\nthe report of a Pick-up truck ripping up the lawn.  Donenko was arrested the following day &\nwas found to be in possession of a small quantity of marijuana, a suspended\nlicense and an active bench warrant with the city of Binghamton Police\nDepartment, he was processed and will be appearing in the town of Triangle\nCourt on May 14^{th<\/sup>, & he was turned over to the Binghamton Police\nDepartment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n}

The Oneonta City School District Board of Education\nannounced that they accepted the retirement of Joseph Yelich as Superintendent\nand appointed Assistant Superintendent Thomas Brindley as his replacement. Both\nactions will become effective on July 1^{st<\/sup>.  Yelich has served as superintendent in Oneonta\nsince 2013. <\/p>\n\n\n\n}

State Police arrested 44 year old Daniel White of Meredith\nfor DWI, Refusal to Take Breath Test, Leaving the Scene of Property Damage\nAccident, Possession of Open Container, Unsafe Speed and Moving from a Lane\nUnsafely.  Troopers were dispatched to a\n1-car accident on Dry Brook Road in the town of Meredith.  When troopers arrived, they were told by\nMeredith Fire fighters that White left the scene; he was located hiding in a\nditch a short distance from the scene. White was processed and arraigned in the\ntown of Davenport court where he was released on his own recognizance; He will\nappear in the town of Meredith court on June 5^{th<\/sup>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n}
