The Annual Nate Lull Scholarship Fundraising was held at Awestruck Ciders in Sidney last weekend, Lull said that he is continually overwhelmed at the support for the scholarship:

The total amount from the fundraiser is still being tabulated & will be announced shortly, The next fundraiser will be at the Colonial Ridge Golf Course, this weekend, register by calling the Golf Course at 607-263-5291.

The 5th Annual Trout Creek Volunteer Fire Company will be held on Sunday September 28th, spokesman Roger Barnhart told WCDO about the event:

Registration begins at 10:00 AM for the ride beginning as 12:00 Noon, proceeds will benefit the Trout Creek Fire Company.

October 25th will be the 2nd annual Spooktacular event next to Roasted Coffee & The Barking Cat in Downtown Sidney, where people are encouraged to dress up their pet for the annual Pet Parade. Teri Schunk of the Sidney Chamber of Commerce explains:

The Walton Theatre Preservation Association looking to raise money for newer LED lights, plus fixtures & a digital control board to upgrade the 110 year old Theater’s lighting, Association President Jim Rice explains:

LifeNet of New York 7-8 is hosting a special event on September 27, to celebrate 15 years of service, by honoring the dedication of local first responders, partners, and community supporters who have helped make LifeNet’s mission of providing critical lifesaving care possible. Former LifeNet patients, including 16-year-old Anielle McEwan-Lomnicki, who was a trauma patient who was struck by a drunk driver while walking home from school two years ago. State Senator Peter Oberacker and Assemblyman Joe Angelino will be in attendance on Saturday, Sept. 27 from 12 pm. – 3 pm. at LifeNet of New York 7-8 base at 199 River Street, Sidney.

Delaware County Sheriff Craig DuMond announced that in observance of New York State Sheriff’s Week, the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting an Open House event on Sunday, September 21st, 2025, from 12pm-3pm at their office located at 280 Phoebe Lane, Delhi. Live demonstrations will be conducted by the K-9 Teams, Drone Pilots, Project Lifesaver Team, and our Motor Vehicle Accident Reconstructionist, plus Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians from Delaware County Public Health will conduct a Car Seat Safety event.
