Sidney Police Department received a complaint Thursday of an unresponsive male seated in a vehicle blocking the automatic car wash at the Mirabito gas station on West Main Street. The Sidney Police Department K9 Unit responded and made contact with the individual. During the investigation, a quantity of methamphetamine, cocaine, and fentanyl was located inside the vehicle. Police arrested Jason Gray of Bainbridge for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, multiple counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, Criminal Possession of a Stimulant with Intent to Sell, Gray was processed and was transported to Delaware County Central Arraignment Court.

The American Red Cross is facing a severe blood shortage as requests from hospitals exceed the available supply of blood, leading to about a 35% drawdown of blood products in the past month.  The shortage is especially serious for platelets and types O, A negative and B negative blood. High flu activity in nearly every state may be sidelining donors, At the same time, hospitals already feeling the strain of the worst flu season in nearly 20 years are now also forced to triage critical blood products. The Goodyear Lake Polar Bear Jump will return to Goodyear Lake on February 21st, to raise money for area children suffering from a variety of health issues. The event has been held locally for 28 years, Last year they raised $186,000 through donations and auctions, 100% of the proceeds go directly to the children and their families. The Winter Storm dumped quite a bit of snow across the state, Governor Hochul has issued a State of Emergency, avoid any unnecessary travel until roads can be cleared. Area Schools are closed today, we will have the CDO Stormwatch throughout this morning, NYSEG reports that all power outages from yesterday have been resolved.

Broome County Sheriff’s office arrested 2 Binghamton residents following a high speed pursuit through several jurisdiction Thursday. Road Patrol observed a black Jeep matching the description of a vehicle involved in multiple pursuits, it had stolen license plates, the Jeep failed to stop and traveled at a high rate of speed, the front seat passenger climbed into the back seat and began throwing objects at the patrol vehicle, The pursuit ended when police used stop sticks, Police arrested 26 year old Sean Brown of Binghamton & 24 year old Kiley Bonilla-Lattanze of Binghamton. Police seized Methamphetamine from the vehicle, they face numerous charges, Brown was also wanted on warrants from Pennsylvania, Bonilla-Lattanze was processed and released with appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Kirkwood Court, Brown was being held at the Broome County Correctional Facility pending extradition by Pennsylvania State Police.

Delaware County Deputies arrested a Bainbtridge resident Thursday in the Village of Delhi, Deputies observed a vehicle being operated by a male passenger, from the passenger seat, without a driver in the driver seat. 35-year-old William Weil of Bainbridge, appeared to be intoxicated & had a child in the vehicle, he was charged with the Aggravated DWI- child in vehicle, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 1st degree, Driving with a BAC of .08 of 1%, Reckless Driving, Felony DWI & Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Weil was released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Delhi Court at a later date.
