The Delaware County Fair will have several new attractions this year in August at the Fairgrounds in Walton, according to Fair President Jason Craig:

U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand held a virtual press conference to highlight the catastrophic impact President Trump’s so-called “Big Beautiful Bill” would have on New York’s children and families:

Gillibrand also said that the Senate version of the bill has no special does not exempt single parent families from the work requirements; red tape could force thousands of kids to go hungry when their parents lose access to benefits.

Broome County officials announced that applications for the new Tiny Homes for veterans are officially open. The homes will be located at 530 State Street in Binghamton, Applications can be found at BroomeCountyNY.gov.

The Chenango County Historical Society’s Summer Barn Party will be held today at their site at 43 Rexford Street in Norwich, according to Society Executive Director Jessica Moquin:

Music will be performed by Eddie & Bird Dog, catering by the Canasawacta Country Club and Cottage Bakery. The Summer Barn Party is a major fundraiser for Chenango County Historical Society.

The 2nd season of concerts at Gilbertsville’s Dunderberg Gallery begins today, with the 1st concert focusing on “Banned Composers Throughout History”, according to concert series organizer Barbara Siesel:

Siesel said that Tickets are $20.00 for adults, $15 for Seniors & $10 for kids, the shows begin at 7:00 PM at the Gallery at 118 Marion Avenue in Gilbertsville. Other shows are scheduled for July 11th, July 24th, August 21 and August 24th.
