The Broome County Sheriff’s Office responded to over 33,000 calls for service in 2025, an increase of About 2500 from the year before. The increase is attributed to the addition of the Strategic Response Group, The Sheriff’s Office is continuing to compile the 2025 statistics, which will be released shortly.

About 12 area Musical Acts will perform a benefit concert in Sidney for Steve Eisenberg, a Bainbridge area musician who is battling Cancer. The event is called the “Stoop-fest For Steve” local musician Jo Jo Russell told WCDO News about the event:
