Broome County fire investigators have released the names of the 4 family members who died in a house fire on State Line Road in the town of Vestal Thursday morning. 33-year-old Nicole Tarbox, her son, 13-year old Evyn, and her two daughters, 9-year-old Mya, and 3-year old Mariah were killed, 15 year old Shawn Tarbox survived after he jumped out of a 2nd floor window. Investigators believe that the fire originated in the first floor kitchen near a stairway, which trapped family members inside.

Saturday & Sunday will be the Rolling Antiquer’s Old Car Club annual 2 day car show & flea market at the Chenango County Fairgrounds in Norwich, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM each day. Saturday’s will be the annual National Baseball Hall Of Fame Classic at Doubleday Field. The Hall of Fame Classic will feature Hall of Famers Rollie Fingers, Tom Glavine, Phil Niekro, Tony Pérez, Ozzie Smith and Robin Yount along with recently retired player representing all 30 MLB teams, beginning at 2:05 p.m. at Doubleday Field, with the Cooperstown Game Day Parade at noon on Main Street and the Legends Hitting Contest preceding the Classic at 1 p.m. at Doubleday Field.

Free Car Seat Checks by Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians, will be held this afternoon at Tri-Town Regional Hospital in Sidney. The event will run from 1:00 to 3:00 pm & is sponsored by the State Police and Tri-Town Regional Hospital. More information is available at 561-7605.
