A.M. NEWS MONDAY 10-14-13

24-year-old Robert Griswold of Harpursville was charged Thursday, with felony second-degree burglary by state police.  Police investigated a home burglary on Doolittle Road in Colesville on September 21st; Griswold is accused of entering the home without permission and taking property.  Griswold was arraigned at the Colesville town court and sent to the Broome County jail without bail.

The Broome County Sheriff’s Office has charged 23 year old Jeffrey Blunk of Endwell with Criminal Possession of a Weapon Friday afternoon; he is accused of possessing a homemade explosive device. Blunk is also wanted by the State of Illinois in connection with possessing explosives and methamphetamine. The investigation in Broome County is continuing and other charges are likely in this case.  Blunk was arraigned in the Town of Union Court and was be remanded to the Broome County Jail without bail.

The Greater Afton Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the Free Collaboration dinner to include Bainbridge, Sidney and Unadilla Chamber members today at Main Street Grill and Bakery in Afton.  The social will be at 5:30 pm with dinner at 6:00 pm.
