Governor Andrew Cuomo submitted a letter to New York State’s Gaming Commission on Friday to re-open bidding for a ‘true’ Southern Tier Region casino license, which was included in Proposition One which was passed on 2013. Tioga Downs would be a likely spot for a casino, as owners at Traditions in Johnson City have backed out. The gaming commission awarded a “Southern Tier” casino license to Lago in Tyre, about 85 miles north of the Binghamton region.

28 year old Tyron Morris of Schenectady faces additional charges of assault, following an incident in the Otsego County Jail. Morris is accused of attempting to assault an inmate & a correctional officer, last month, he was charged with Attempted Assault, and he was being held on drug charges on $25,000 bail, he faces court action on the latest charge on January 15th.

The American Red Cross will have a blood drive at the Bainbridge town hall today. The blood drive will be held from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, appointments can me made at redcrossblood.org
