Governor Cuomo traveled to Binghamton Wednesday afternoon to discuss how the approved casino gaming amendment has the potential to bring millions of dollars in new revenue as well as provide property tax relief and boost tourism and economic development:

The locations for the 4 upstate destination gaming resorts will be selected based on the economic development impact of the resort, and they will restricted to the Hudson Valley–Catskill area, the Capital District and the Southern Tier. There will be a 7-year exclusivity period during which no further destination gaming resorts will be licensed by the State.

The Bainbridge-Guilford Central School will hold a Board of Education Meeting today in the Guilford Cafeteria at 6:30 PM. The business portion of the meeting will start at 7:30 PM.

The Southern Tier Veterans Support Group will hold an information day for veterans on November 7th from noon to 3:00 pm at the American Legion on Robinson Street in Binghamton. There will be information available on VA healthcare and benefits, employment, housing, community programs as well as food and music.  For more information call 205-8332.

Congressman Chris Gibson will visit Otsego County today.  Gibson will visit the Edmeston Central School, where he will speak to an assembly of students grades 7 through 12 regarding Veterans Day and then take questions on his military service.

A Rabies Clinic will be held today in Chenango County.  The clinic is scheduled to be held at the Preston Town Garage from 5:30 to 6:30 pm.
