Congressman Chris Gibson has re-introduced The Tick-borne Disease Research Transparency and Accountability Act. The bill requires the Secretary of Health and Human Services to consult with a working group to submit a strategic plan to Congress within three years that includes benchmarks to measure progress. The legislation passed the House of Representatives last year but was not brought to a vote in the Senate.

A 2015 New York State Executive Budget Briefing will be held at the Northeast Classic Car Museum in Norwich today at 12:30 PM. RoAnn Destito, the Commissioner of the Office of General Services will deliver the state budget presentation; the event is sponsored by Commerce Chenango.

Officials with the Village of Sidney announced that the Village Planning Board will be meeting Today at 6:00 PM in room 202 located in the Civic Center. The meeting is open to the public.
