Governor Cuomo detailed projected savings for New York taxpayers as a result of the Property Tax Relief program, which provides 1.3 million homeowners significant financial relief. The $1.66 billion program also includes a renters’ credit, is part of the Governor’s 2015 Opportunity Agenda. When fully phased in, 49,658 homeowners in the Southern Tier will receive an average annual savings of $725.

On Friday, a Town of Plymouth resident was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance. Chenango County Sheriff’s Department arrested 31 year old Aaron Bishop age 31 following a traffic stop in the Town of Columbus. Bishop was found to be in possession of cocaine, he was processed and released on an appearance ticket to appear in the Town of Columbus Court at a later date. while in custody, for processing Bishop was found to be a suspect for a Grand Larceny case in the Town of Plymouth. Bishop was then charged with 2 counts of Grand Larceny for allegedly stealing cash & a handgun, he was arraigned and was remanded to Chenango County Corrections on bail & is scheduled to reappear in the Town of Plymouth Court at a later date.
