Chenango county sheriff’s deputies & members of the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office completed their investigation into an alleged larceny complaint at the Norwich Wal-Mart in early June, with the arrest of 4 subjects whose pictures were posted on the Sheriff’s Office Facebook page and the subjects were identified. Arrested were 53 year old Lawrence Golden of Pitcher, 37 year old Corey Little of Cortland, 30 year old Chad Cain of Cortland and 38 year old Richard Small of Cortland. All 4 subjects were arrested for Felony Grand larceny and 5th degree Conspiracy; they were remanded to the Chenango County Jail & will re-appear in the Town of Norwich court at a later date.

This year Cornell Cooperative Extension of Delaware County’s is offering quilters and the public an opportunity to participate in a quilting project to support cancer education and screening. This year’s County Fair quilt project will encourage quilters and the public to celebrate “5210 Let’s Go.” Each individual or group is asked to complete a wall hanging or mini-quilt by Friday, July 18th, the projects will be displayed at the Delaware County Fair August 11th to the 16th and may be available for bid.
