Governor Cuomo has directed that flags on state government buildings be flown at half-staff today, in honor of the victims of the marathon bombing in Boston. Members of the New York National Guard were deployed to Boston to assist with the investigation into Monday’s bombing that killed 3 and injured more than 180.

The Chenango county sheriff’s department arrested 44-year-old David Crane of Smyrna for Aggravated Criminal Contempt, 4th degree Criminal Mischief and Resisting Arrest.  Crane is accused of violating an order of protection, engaging in a domestic dispute & fleeing the scene before deputies arrived.  Deputies & State Troopers returned to the scene and were able to locate Crane in a crawlspace, he was apprehended without incident. He was arraigned in the Village of Smyrna court and remanded to the Chenango County Correctional Facility on $5,000 cash bail.

Delaware County Deputies arrested 23-year-old Christopher Manning of Franklin for 2nd degree Burglary & 4th degree Grand Larceny.  Manning is accused of breaking into an area residence & stealing firearms, he was arraigned & was remanded to Delaware County jail on $2,500 cash or $5,000 bond, he will re-appear on April 19th.

The Chenango county sheriff’s department arrested 33-year-old Shaun Sullivan of Oneonta on an active arrest warrant for 2nd degree Aggravated Harassment.   Sullivan is accused of harassing and threatening a victim by telephone, he was arraigned in the Town of Norwich Court and was remanded to the Chenango County Correctional Facility on $500 cash bail.
