A.M. NEWS WEDNESDAY 6-4-14

About 1000 members of Law Enforcement agencies and hundreds of civilians paid their respects to Trooper Christopher Skinner at his funeral in Johnson City Tuesday.  Trooper Skinner was killed in the line of duty while conducting a traffic stop on I-81 last Thursday.  State Police Superintendent Joseph D’Amico said that Officers from as far as Alaska, Florida attended the funeral of Trooper Skinner.

Firefighters in Walton responded to a garage fire at 5 Sewell Place last night.  Early reports suggested that the fire started due to a lightning strike.  Further details are expected to be released shortly.
