28 year old Stephanie Fletcher of Walton pleaded not guilty at arraignment Tuesday in Delaware County Court for 2 counts of 3rd degree rape, 1 count of 3rd degree criminal sexual act, 2 counts of endangering the welfare of a child, for allegedly performing sexual acts with 2 under aged students, while serving as a teacher in the Walton district.  Fletcher faces action in Delaware county court later this year.

The Chenango county sheriffs department charged 33-year-old James Barnett of Norwich on a probation violation and 4th degree grand larceny.   Barnett was arraigned the Town of Norwich court and is being held at the Chenango County Correction Facility on $1000 cash bail, he is scheduled to appear in the Town of Preston Court at a later date.

The Chenango county sheriffs department arrested 26-year-old Stephanie Cutting of Bainbridge on an active parole violation arrest warrant.   The warrant for Cutting was issued out of the city of Utica Parole Office, she turned herself in at the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office & will face court action shortly.

Assemblyman Cliff Crouch has launched an on-line petition to repeal the  NY SAFE Act  gun-control law passed by the  legislature last month.

Norwich Troopers arrested 17-year-old Jordan Weaver of Norwich for 4th degree Criminal Mischief.  The arrest followed an investigation into a disturbance on State Route 12 in the Town of Norwich.  Weaver was issued an Appearance Ticket to appear in the Town of Norwich Court Thursday.

The annual “Welcome Back B-Mets” Dinner is scheduled for Tuesday, April 2nd at the Binghamton Riverwalk Hotel & Conference Center in downtown Binghamton.  Tickets are on sale for $20.00 per person. B-Mets players will arrive at 5:30 PM for the “Meet the Mets” autograph reception, followed by Dinner at 7:00 PM, followed by a special baseball program with team and manager introductions.  Tickets are on sale at 723-METS or at NYSEG Stadium during normal business hours. Proceeds will benefit the B-Mets Booster Club.

Commerce Chenango and the Matthews Auto Group will be holding a Chamber Business After Hours event this afternoon at 175 East Main Street, in Norwich.  The event will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.   Matthews Auto Group recently expanded into Norwich with the purchase of the former Smith Ford.

State Troopers arrested 27-year-old Nicole Mills of Deposit for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance  and 3rd degree Bail Jumping.  The arrest was the result of a bench warrant issued by the Town of Sanford Court,   Mills was arraigned in the Town of Sanford Court and remanded to the Broome County Jail in lieu of $500 cash bail.

The Chenango county sheriffs department arrested a 17-year-old youth from  Preston resident for 4th degree Criminal Mischief & Endangering the Welfare of a child.  Deputies responded to a report of a domestic dispute in the Town of Preston, where the 17 year old is accused of kicking a door in and striking an 11 year old child, he was arraigned in the Town of Norwich court and remanded to the Correctional Facility on $500, and  He will appear in the Town of Preston court at a later date.
