73-year-old Wilbur Allen of Mount Vision was pronounced dead at Bassett Hospital, following a farm accident in Edmeston. Allen was working with another man loading a farm tractor on a vehicle Tuesday evening at around 6:00 PM, Allen fell underneath & was struck by the vehicles, he was transported to Bassett hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The Sidney Elks Lodge will host their annual Car Show behind the lodge on River Street in Sidney tomorrow. Car Show Organizer Mark Little comments:

Little said that there would be more classes & more trophies this year, including a Ralph Cuozzo Senior Memorial trophy in honor of the late local businessman and antique car collector.

The Otsego County Planning Department has received a $660,800 grant from the New York State Division of Homes & Community Renewal to replace dilapidated owner-occupied mobile homes in the county with new, modern, energy-efficient manufactured homes. Eligibility requirements are: the Applicants’ annual household incomes may not exceed 80% of the county median, Applicants must own the existing mobile home: renters in trailer parks are not eligible.
