Binghamton Police are looking for the suspect in a bank robbery at M&T bank on Robinson Street Thursday morning at about 11:30AM.  Police believe the man ran northbound and then got into a dark colored Toyota 4 door sedan.  The Suspect is described as a Male of Unknown Race or Ethnicity, Medium Build, about 6 feet tall, wearing a Hooded Waist Length Jacket with a Camouflage Pattern, Dark Scarf  covering his face, Dark Colored Jeans, Black Gloves & Brown Hiking Boots.  Anyone with information is asked to contact the Binghamton Police Detective Division at (607) 772-7080.

Chobani announced a new line of non-dairy products this week.  Non-dairy Chobani is made with cultured, organic coconut puree, in single-serve yogurt cups in 5 flavors: vanilla, strawberry, blueberry, slightly sweet plain plus 4 single-serve drinks flavors. The products contain all plant-based ingredients; have no gluten, soy or artificial sweeteners or flavors.  The products are headed for grocery shelves this month.

State Senator Jim Seward announced his committee assignments for the 2019 legislative session.  Along with his previously announced position as ranking Republican of the Senate Finance Committee, Senator Seward will also serve on the senate standing committees on education, finance, higher education, insurance, and rules.

Property tax levy growth for school districts will be capped at 2% again this year, according to State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli. The 2% cap affects the tax cap calculations for 676 school districts as well as 10 cities with fiscal years starting July 1st.   The tax cap limits annual tax levy increases to the lesser of the rate of inflation or 2% with some exceptions, including a provision that allows school districts to override the cap with 60 percent voter approval of their budget.

The Federal Government shutdown has slowed down the investigation into last summer’s Limousine accident in Schoharie County that killed 20 people.  Federal investigators may be forced to recall employees furloughed by the government shutdown to start examining the SUV used as a limousine that crashed on October 6th.   The National Transportation Safety Board is coordinating their efforts with the Schoharie County District Attorney’s Office.  The limousine company operator Nauman Hussain was charged with criminally negligent homicide.

The Delaware County Chamber of Commerce will hold their next Friday breakfast event in Walton today.  The event will run from 8:30 to 10:00 am at the Castle on the Delaware 139 Stockton Avenue in Walton.
