State Police are asking for the public to help locate a missing teen from the Town of Kirkwood.  15 year old Adrianna Leidecker is described as a white female 5’8″ tall, about 149 pounds with blond hair & blue eyes, she allegedly left with mate at night on March 1st or early March 2nd, anyone with information is asked to call state Police a 775-1241.

Chenango County Public Health reported another 9 new COVID positive Tests, bringing their total to 2461 since the pandemic hit New York State about 1 year ago.  Chenango County reports 67 active cases, 267 quarantined and 6 hospitalized, there have been 2253 recoveries and over 83,000 tests conducted.

State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli reported higher than expected personal income tax collections and the prospect of significant aid from the federal government, in his review of the Executive Budget, as amended by the Governor.   DiNapoli stated that New York is receiving at least $9 billion in federal Pandemic aid however the budget assumes an additional $6 billion in unrestricted federal relief and stimulus aid will be received evenly over the next two fiscal years.  The General Fund balance is projected to decline to $5.7 billion by the end of the fiscal year, down by 36% since March 2020, and the lowest year-end balance since 2014.

Otsego County Department of Health announced today that workers in any of the eligible groups to be vaccinated, that want an alert of COVID vaccine clinics, can email COVIDvaccine@otsegocounty.com.  Officials said that once you have emailed your contact information you will be notified by email of the next available clinic for the 1b eligible workers. You can find the list of those eligible at the Otsego County Health Department website.

Delaware County Public Health reported 14 new COVID cases Thursday out of 281 tested, there are 96 active cases, and 10 hospitalized & 416 are quarantined.  They have vaccinated 1248 people so far.

The first doses of the newly approved Janssen COVID-19 vaccine to be given in Chenango County were administered Thursday at UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital in Norwich. The single-dose vaccine, developed by Johnson & Johnson, received emergency use authorization from the Food & Drug Administration on February 27th.  To be added to the vaccination list, those 65 and older can call 337-4888 or email their name, address, phone number and eligibility to cmh.vax@nyuhs.org.  Also, visitations resumed today at UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital in Norwich & Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton.  1 visitor will be allowed per patient for up to 4 hours, visitors will be required to wear a mask, use a designated entrance, and be screened by personnel before going to see a patient, visitors under age 18 won’t be permitted.  Visiting Hours at UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital will be from 9:00 to 11:00 AM and from 4:00 to 6:00 PM daily.  Specific details about visitation will be published at nyuhs.org and healthcare.ascension.org.
