The Sidney Elks Lodge will hold their Annual “Looking Back” Car Show & Chicken Barbecue on Saturday In Sidney,  Spokesman Mark Little explains:

Little said that the show will run from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM Saturday behind the Elks Lodge on River Street in Sidney.

Delhi Village Police arrested 49-year-old Steven Witte of Arkville for Driving While Intoxicated, Reckless Driving, Attempted Assault, Unlawfully Fleeing a Police Officer and numerous traffic infractions. Witte is accused of striking a police officer with his vehicle while fleeing the scene of a motor vehicle accident at the McDonald’s drive through on Main Street. Witte was arranged at the Delhi Town Court where he was remanded to the Delaware County Jail in lieu of $100,000 cash bail / $200,000 secured bond. The officer struck by the fleeing vehicle was not injured.

The Greater Afton Area Chamber of Commerce Sunday Summer Concert Series continues in Afton Sunday Night.  Singer Songwriter Khalil Jade will perform at Foster Park this Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. 

Congressman Antonio Delgado held a Town Hall Meeting in Sidney Last Night, he told WCDO News of the issues that have been coming up from his constituents during these recent meetings across the 19th District:

Governor Cuomo signed legislation allowing victims of sexual offenses, stalking and human trafficking to participate in the Department of State’s Address Confidentiality Program. Victims will be able to keep their address hidden from their perpetrators by using a substitute address provided by the Department of State.  Under the previous law, only victims of domestic violence were eligible to participate in the Address Confidentiality Program.
