47 year old Matthew Coley of Roseboom was arrested In Montgomery County & has been turned over to the Otsego County Sheriff’s Office. Coley was charged with 2nd degree Strangulation & 3rd Degree Assault following an investigation into a domestic incident in March of 2020. A warrant was issued for Coley arrest, he was picked up following a traffic stop & was arraigned at Otsego County Central Arraignment and released on his own recognizance.

The Sidney Police Department arrested a Schoharie County man on a Delaware County Court warrant, relating to a burglary complaint filed by the Smoker’s Choice in July. A warrant was issued and Before the warrant could be executed the suspect was incarcerated in the Scoharie County Jail on unrelated charges. Sidney Police Department arrested 21 year old Isaah Mann for 1 count each of 3rd degree Burglary, 4th degree Grand larceny, Criminal possession of stolen property, Criminal mischief & Obstruction of governmental administration. Mann was arraigned in Delaware County Court where he was released and returned to the custody of the Schoharie County Jail.

Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 40 year old Denise Wells of Herkimer for Driving while impaired by drugs charges. Deputies received a 911 call report on December12th of an erratic driver on State Highway 10, which resulted in a motor vehicle accident near Fitches Bridge. Wells is accused of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs, she was additionally issued the traffic tickets of Unsafe Lane Change and Failure to Keep Right. Wells was released and scheduled to return to the Town of Delhi Court at a later date to answer for these charges.

The Charlotte Valley Central School District was notified by the Town of Davenport that the town water district was experiencing water pressure issues this weekend. Today, the District’s water pressure was below acceptable limits & the school was closed. Town of Davenport officials were continuing today to try to find the source of a water leak affecting the pressure, There were no classes or after school activities today, district officials will post an update later today on their website whether there will be classes on Tuesday.

Troopers at Troop “C” responded to 172 weather related incidents Thursday & Friday, 81 were for assisting a motorist or a disabled vehicle, 88 crashes with no injury and only damage to property & 3 crashes with an injury that is non-life-threatening

State Police will be hosting a car seat check event today from 1:00 to 4:00 PM, at the Deposit Central School Bus Garage. Appointments are preferred but walk-ins are welcome, Call (607) 561-7605.

Governor Hochul signed legislation that stops the sale of makeup items that are newly tested on animals. The law will prevent the abusive use of rabbits, guinea pigs, mice and rats to test cosmetic products on within New York State.
