Governor Cuomo announced today that New York State now has 142 confirmed cases of the Corona Virus, more than any other state in the country.  8 of the patients are currently hospitalized, most of the cases are in Westchester County, 19 are in New York City, and many downstate schools are closing due to the outbreaks.

Delaware County Sheriff Deputies arrested 40-year-old Dana-John Britton of Oneonta on Bench Warrants issued by the Town of Delhi Court for failure to appear on previous charges of Petty Larceny and Falsifying Business Records.  Britton was arraigned in the Town of Delhi Court and was released on his own recognizance; he was turned over to Binghamton City Police on a warrant for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested and charged 20 year-old Michael Bryden of Delhi for Petty Larceny & Criminal Mischief, he is accused of physically cutting and stealing a catalytic converter off a vehicle parked at a Town of Delhi seasonal residence between last October & January.  Bryden was released on appearance tickets and directed to appear in the Town of Delhi Court on a later date.

State Police are continuing to investigate into the disappearance of 32 year old Brandon Williams of Endicott.  Williams was last seen in March 2019 in the town of Maine, he is described as White, 6’2″ about 220 pounds, with brown hair & brown eyes, he was last seen wearing a red Hooded sweatshirt, gray jeans & a new England Patriots winter hat & a tan jacket.  Anyone with information is asked to contact State Police at 775-1241.

State Police are investigating a break-in at the Polish Community Center on Prospect Street in the town of Dickinson.  During the burglary, an undisclosed amount of money was taken and damaging the building.  The crime was discovered on March 2nd, anyone with information can call State Police at 775-1241.

Tickets for the 2020 Hall of Fame Classic, scheduled for Saturday, May 23, are on sale now for participants in the Museum’s Membership Program and go on sale Monday, March 16, to the general public online and by phone.   Several hall of Famers & recently retired players will participate in the 7 inning game at Doubleday Field in Cooperstown.   Tickets will be available by phone at (607) 207-9519 or at baseballhall.org/hofclassic.   A pre-game Home Run Contest will be held at 12:00 noon, followed by the first pitch at 1:05 p.m.

State Police announced that an autopsy was performed Friday morning on 37 year old Casie Weese of Glen Aubrey, who was located Thursday in a wooded area off State Route 17 in Apalachin, after being reported missing the previous weekend.  The autopsy performed at Lourdes hospital showed no obvious signs of trauma.   The official cause of death is pending toxicology results and further investigation, which could take several weeks.
