Governor Cuomo today announced that the state now has over 247,000 cases of the Coronavirus, Hospitalizations are down to 16,103 & the number of deaths went up 478 Sunday, making the state death toll at 14,347.  Cuomo said that the Antibody testing gets underway this week under the supervision of the state department of health, & there are issues immediately with the supply chain for those tests:

The State Department of Labor has streamlined the unemployment process in the last week, & many earlier glitches have been ironed out, and the last problem should be fixed today, according to Secretary to the Governor Melissa DeRosa:

The Governor also reiterated that the idea of schools re-opening anywhere in the state will not be discussed until May 15th at the earliest.

Delaware County Sheriff Deputies arrested 47 year-old Christian Daparma of Stamford for a number of crimes following a month-long investigation into the theft of a vehicle from the Village of Stamford. In March Deputies investigated a stolen vehicle complaint in Stamford, which Deparma unlawfully reported that he was the owner & sold it as scrap metal.  Last Thursday, Deputies located Daparma at his residence and he fled on foot, he was apprehended & charged with obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest in addition to the orifical grand larceny & falsifying business records charges.  Daparma was released after being issued appearance tickets for Town of Stamford Court at a later date; he also faces action in the Town of Davenport Court at a later date.

Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 31 year old Robert Bridgeforth of South Kortright Friday on criminal contempt charges, for allegedly violating an order of protection.   Bridgeforth is accused of violating the order by texts & by using a 3rd party to contact the victim.  Bridgeforth was arraigned remotely by Delaware County Court; he was remanded to the Delaware County Correctional Facility on $500 cash bail or $1000 bond, pending his appearance in the Town of Kortright Court on a later date.

The Otsego County Department of Health announced today that they have 5 new cases reported of the Coronavirus, giving them a total of 55 confirmed cases.  Currently, 3 people are hospitalized, 31 have recovered, there have been 4 deaths, 25 people are on mandatory quarantine & 1 person is on precautionary quarantine.

Chenango County Public Health announced their Coronavirus numbers today, with 78 confirmed cases, 9 hospitalizations, 44 recoveries 150 people are in quarantine, & so far they have not reported any deaths from the Coronavirus.

The Broome County Department of Health announced that they now have 207 Coronavirus cases, with 10 deaths, 44 recoveries & 337 in Quarantine; they have conducted just fewer than 1400 tests so far.
