Governor Cuomo was asked at his daily Coronavirus Briefing in New York City today about the prospects of opening up day camps & summer Camps shortly, as the State Health Department is investigating over 150 cases of Children testing positive to the Coronavirus, but with heart & blood vessel inflammation instead of Lung issues:

Governor Cuomo said that since State officials discovered this trend in children, it has shown up several other states & countries & the research is ongoing.

The State Health Department announced today that the state is up to 356, 458 positive cases of the Coronavirus, with just over 2,000 new cases on Wednesday.  Total Hospitalization were down to 5,187, there were 105 Deaths Wednesday, bring the state death toll to 23, 083.

The Otsego County Board of Representatives held a special meeting Wednesday online, they have decided to cut 59 positions in County Government starting June 1st.  The Board also decided to close the Oneonta Office of the Department of Motor Vehicles.

State Police will increase patrols to combat drunk, impaired and reckless driving throughout this Memorial Day weekend. The STOP-DWI enforcement period starts on Friday, and runs through Tuesday, May 26. State Police and our local law enforcement partners will be out in force to remove impaired and reckless drivers from our highways.   Drivers can expect to see sobriety checkpoints and increased patrols during this holiday weekend.

Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 46-year-old Jeannie Bame of Hobart Tuesday on a bench warrant issued by the Delaware County Court for failure to appear for a scheduled compliance conference relating to a felony DWI conviction.  Bame was committed to the Delaware County Correctional Facility pending her appearance in Delaware County Court on Wednesday.  Bame was arraigned before County Court Judge Richard D. Northrup, Jr., on Wednesday morning, via remote teleconference, and was released on recognizance.

Republican Assembly Candidate Nick Libous released a statement today regarding the “Cease & Desist” order from retiring Assemblyman Cliff Crouch.  Libous’s statement said that it is outrageous that Mr. Crouch cannot be discussed during this campaign, and he said that he will stick to his Job Creation message during the campaign.  Assemblyman Crouch has endorsed former Norwich Police Chief & Decorated Marine Veteran Joe Angelino for his 122nd Assembly district seat. 2 other Republicans are also running for the seat, Vic Furman & Jim Powers, the Republican Primary is June 23rd.  1 Democratic Candidate is running for the 122nd District Assembly seat: Richard Shaw.

Chenango County Public Health announced today that they have 118 cases of the Coronavirus so far, with 2 active hospitalizations, 86 people have recovered, 31 are quarantined, and there have been 4 deaths.  The have conducted 2086 tests.

The Broome County Health Department announced today that they have 448 positive Coronavirus cases so far, with 32 deaths, 330 recoveries, & 230 patients are being monitored by the Health Department.

Delaware County is reporting no new cases of COVID-19 again today and one additional recovery. The known active cases in the County is now 8. To date there have been 65 confirmed positive cases, with 9 people under mandatory quarantine and 2 people under precautionary quarantine, 3 are isolated in a hospital, 5 are recovering at home, 4 people are deceased and 53 have fully recovered.
