Delaware Valley Humane Society received their figures from the Staff Works Fundraiser that they participated in back in December; Society Director Erin Insinga told WCDO News that this year’s effort was unexpectedly successful:

Insinga said that the money raised will be used for some repairs to the building & for day to day expenses that the shelter faces.

Chenango County Public Health reported that they are up to 1943 total cases since last year, with 23 hospitalized, 215 active cases & 582 quarantined; they’ve have had 35 deaths & 1676 recoveries.

Delaware County Sheriff’s Office announced that a Mount Upton man and woman were arrested at the conclusion of a lengthy investigation into a November 5th trespass at a Town of Walton residence.  On January 22, Deputies arrested 38 year old Harry Weed and 31 year old Ambrosia Ford, both of Mount Upton, for 2nd degree criminal trespass, they were processed and released on appearance tickets for Town of Walton Court at a later date.

Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the Town of Hamden to investigate alleged violations of an order of protection, the Investigation revealed that 59-year-old Timothy Yeary of Delhi had repeatedly contacted and left voice messages for the protected party.  Deputies located, arrested and charged Yeary with 1 count of criminal contempt; he was issued an appearance ticket for Town of Hamden Court at a later date.
